A Serbian Film

I watched this film at 2 A.M. on New Years Day and I have to say it is probably the most disturbing film I have ever had to watch. It tells the story of a down-on-his-luck porn star who agrees to participate in an "art film", only to discover that he has been drafted into a snuff film with child rape and necrophilic themes. This really is a movie that you will want to shut off, but there is a small part of you that will keep watching for some unknown reason. I would never even think of recommending even my worst enemy to watch this movie. In all reality the film isn't scary as it is disgusting. I do have to applaud the director Srđan Spasojević because he accomplished what he wanted to do. I thought the idea of the plot was creative and he did a good job of executing the film. I did enjoy the twists and turns that the plot took, but that still doesn't cover up that this movie was probably the most messed up thing I have ever had to watch. I am going to give A Serbian Film a 7/10. I know what you are thinking, Why would I give this movie a 7/10 when I bashed it throughout this blog? Well the truth is A Serbian Film does everything it set out to do and it honesty it did it well. A director wants to make a film people won't forget and I don't think I will ever forget this movie~ Dominic
