Megan is Missing

I've seen a lot of awful movies in my life and this is defiantly in the top 10. The movie is about two girls that get abducted by a man that uses an online alter ego. The movie also uses technique of using a webcam and cellphone to shoot the movie. The acting was comparable to a middle school play and not only was the plot awful, but for the last 10 minutes of this already short film you just see legs digging up the grave where the two girls eventually get buried. The dialogue was incredibly awful and the use of the words fuck, slut, and whore were used so many times it made you want to end your life. I am giving Megan is Missing a 1/10 because it had no redeeming qualities to it and I recommend everyone to not watch this movie.

A Serbian Film

I watched this film at 2 A.M. on New Years Day and I have to say it is probably the most disturbing film I have ever had to watch. It tells the story of a down-on-his-luck porn star who agrees to participate in an "art film", only to discover that he has been drafted into a snuff film with child rape and necrophilic themes. This really is a movie that you will want to shut off, but there is a small part of you that will keep watching for some unknown reason. I would never even think of recommending even my worst enemy to watch this movie. In all reality the film isn't scary as it is disgusting. I do have to applaud the director SrÄ‘an Spasojević because he accomplished what he wanted to do. I thought the idea of the plot was creative and he did a good job of executing the film. I did enjoy the twists and turns that the plot took, but that still doesn't cover up that this movie was probably the most messed up thing I have ever had to watch. I am going to give A Serbian Film a 7/10. I know what you are thinking, Why would I give this movie a 7/10 when I bashed it throughout this blog? Well the truth is A Serbian Film does everything it set out to do and it honesty it did it well. A director wants to make a film people won't forget and I don't think I will ever forget this movie~ Dominic

The Saw Series

Last summer I spent a week watching all seven Saw movies with my girlfriend. If you unfamiliar with the series it is a psychological thriller where chosen people are  given the chance to fight for their life. The whole thing is set up by a man name Jigsaw. Now the plot twist and turns through 7 movies and there is no way I could ever explain to you or even give a good summary of it. Most popular horror movies fail to impress me, but something with this series was different. I found myself addicted to the story and though the movie wasn't all that horrifying it made me keep guessing on what would happen next. I can't say the movies are the best things you'll ever watch, but I would defiantly recommend giving them a chance. I'm giving The Saw series an 8/10. Now I know this may seem a bit high to some people who may have seen the movies, but I was really intrigued with the story line and thought the movies were put together very well. Let me know what you think about Saw~ Dominic

Hey

I don't really know why I am doing this, but I just want to give you guys( the few that will read this) an idea of what I am going to do. I once went into a family video and asked the employee what a good scary movie would be and his reply puzzled me. " Scary movies are too subjective for me to give you an answer." I ended up renting  some really shitty movie and I'm pretty pissed about it to this day. So this blog will be me reviewing scary movies and I will try not to be harsh, but I am going to be honest so you don't have to waste your time watching. I hope you enjoy the blog and thanks for reading~ Dominic
